Premier Inn Free Breakfast Code: Does It Cover Everyone and Can You Combine It?

Premier Inn free breakfast code deal with eggs, bacon and toast on a plate

Premier Inn is offering free breakfast again, and this time you do not need a personalised email link to get it. The Premier Inn free breakfast code is FREEBREAKFAST, it is also printed on Premier Inn’s own breakfast page, and it applies to bookings made by 9 November 2026 for stays between 13 November 2026 and 28 February 2027.

On the face of it that is a simple saving, worth about £12 per adult per morning, so around £48 for two adults over a weekend. But two questions matter before you rely on it. Does the free breakfast cover everyone staying, and can you use it alongside any other deal? I read the full terms and conditions to find out.

What is the Premier Inn free breakfast code?

If you make a new booking on the Standard rate through the Premier Inn website or iOS app, and enter the code FREEBREAKFAST in the promo code box, breakfast is added to your booking at the normal price and then discounted in full. So you should see it listed on your booking confirmation. It only applies to new bookings, not ones you have already made.

Premier Inn’s breakfast page puts the normal price at from £11.99 per person for the cooked breakfast, so that is roughly what you are saving for each adult, each morning. It is a “from” price, so the price at your hotel may differ.

Does the Premier Inn free breakfast code cover everyone staying?

Mostly yes, with a few things to watch. The email promises free breakfast to your group throughout your stay, and the terms say children under 16 may also eat breakfast for free. So it is not limited to the person who made the booking.

That matters most for families, because Premier Inn already lets up to two under 16s eat breakfast free when an adult orders one, which I covered in my Kids Eat Free piece and my breakfast deal piece. The children were never the expensive part. The real value of the code is that it covers the adults too.

A few things to check before you assume everyone is covered. The terms only mention children under 16, so if you are travelling with older teenagers, make sure their breakfast shows on the confirmation before you pay. The terms do not set a limit on guests per room, only a limit of seven rooms per booking, and they do not say whether it is the full cooked breakfast or the lighter continental one. Premier Inn Business Account customers are excluded entirely.

Can you use the free breakfast code with other deals?

No, and Premier Inn is clear about it. The terms say the discount cannot be applied in conjunction with any other discounts or offers, and it is not compatible with the Whitbread Group employee discount. So a second promo code or discount on the same booking is not going to work.

The one thing that looks like a combination but is not is the Standard rate itself. If you are staying between 13 November and 30 December, I looked at the Premier Inn 20% off deal, which is really a saving for booking the Standard rate instead of Flex. The Premier Inn free breakfast code needs the Standard rate anyway, so you are not stacking two discounts, you are choosing the cheaper rate and then adding breakfast to it. I have not run a test booking, so check the final price before you pay.

Cashback is a different question. The terms say affiliate benefits only apply to bookings completed on the Premier Inn website, not the mobile app. I have used Quidco for the best part of ten years and reviewed TopCashback too, so I would be looking there before booking. I have not confirmed whether either pays out on a booking made with this code, so check their terms and do not assume it.

What is the catch?

The big one is the rate. The Premier Inn free breakfast code only works on the Standard rate, which is paid in full when you book and is non refundable and non cancellable. You can amend the booking and keep the free breakfast, as long as the new dates stay inside the stay period, but if you move outside 13 November 2026 to 28 February 2027 the offer is lost.

Second, where you book matters. It has to be the Premier Inn website or the iOS app. The Android app and any other booking channel are excluded, which is an easy thing to trip over. That is the Android app though, not Android phones. If you use Android, the terms still allow booking on the Premier Inn website in your phone’s browser. I have not tested the code that way, so check the free breakfast shows on your confirmation before you pay.

Third, not every hotel takes part. The terms include a long list of excluded UK hotels, including several in the big cities, so check yours against the full terms before you get your heart set on it. Hotel names matter here. Premier Inn London City (Aldgate) is on the excluded list, while the Premier Inn London City (Tower Hill) I priced in my Tower of London weekend is not on it as I read it.

Last, Premier Inn says it can remove the offer at any point, and hotels are subject to availability. The terms do not give a cut off time on 9 November either, so I would not leave it until the last minute.

I realise that some parts of this review sound a bit like a review of the terms and conditions, which is sometimes the case with deals. As with most deals, sometimes the best way to check if it will work for your booking is to go to their site and pretend that you are booking. If it takes the code then you are on to a winner.

The maths

To see what the code is worth, I used the prices from my Tower of London piece, because that stay falls inside the offer window. Those were checked on 18 October 2026 for two adults at Premier Inn London City (Tower Hill), two nights from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 February 2027. I have added breakfast for two adults for two mornings at £11.99 each, which is four breakfasts and £47.96.

Option Room, two nights Breakfast, four portions Total Can you cancel?
Standard rate with FREEBREAKFAST £182 Free £182 No
Standard rate, paying for breakfast £182 £47.96 £229.96 No
Flex rate, paying for breakfast £249 £47.96 £296.96 Yes, up to 1pm on arrival day

Using the code saves £47.96 against booking the same Standard room and paying for breakfast at the table. Against Flex it looks like £114.96, but £67 of that is simply the gap between the Standard and Flex room price, which you would get whether or not you used the code. The honest saving from the code itself is the breakfast.

That saving depends on who is in the room, so here is what the code is worth for a few different groups, again at £11.99 per adult per morning.

Who is staying Nights Adult breakfasts you would pay for What the code saves
One adult 1 1 £11.99
Two adults 2 4 £47.96
Two adults and two children under 16 2 4, as the children eat free anyway £47.96

Notice the family of four saves the same as the couple. That is the Kids Eat Free policy at work, so the code does not make breakfast cheaper for the children, it makes it free for the adults.

Is the Premier Inn free breakfast code a good deal?

The Premier Inn free breakfast code is a real saving, and an easier one to get than the last Premier Inn free breakfast offer, which needed a personalised email link. I wrote that up in my free breakfast for adults piece. The saving there came from the breakfast and not the room, and I expect the same here, though I have not tested a booking.

As someone who has eaten the cooked breakfast there a few times, I can personally recommend it. It is filling and handy being in the hotel.

The unlimited coffees were a highlight when I used it, saving me from drinking lots of instant in my room. From memory I even took one back to my room!

The catch is whether you would actually eat that breakfast. The £11.99 is Premier Inn’s price, not what you would otherwise spend. If you would normally grab something cheaper on the way out, the saving is smaller than it looks, and if you would skip breakfast altogether the code saves you nothing. It also does nothing to the room price, so check the total against other chains, as I did in my Travelodge against Premier Inn comparison.

Sensible Spender verdict

Worth it, as long as your plans are firm and you would eat the breakfast anyway.

The saving from the Premier Inn free breakfast code is genuine, it covers the adults as well as the children, and anyone with the code can use it. But you are paying in full upfront with no right to cancel, you cannot combine it with other offers, and you have to book through the website or iOS app at a hotel that is not on the excluded list.

Important dates

Book by Monday 9 November 2026 using the code FREEBREAKFAST, for a stay between 13 November 2026 and 28 February 2027. I checked the terms on 31 October 2026. Premier Inn can change or remove the offer, so check your booking confirmation shows the free breakfast before you pay.

If you are planning a family stay, I have also checked whether Premier Inn Kids Eat Free is as good as it sounds.
