When I first started this site I hadn’t realised how much time I would spend writing about Premier Inn food deals. But it turns out they offer them on a fairly regular basis, which is certainly nothing to complain about!
Now, unless my memory is playing tricks on me, this is a slightly different angle. This time the headline is Premier Inn kids eat free half term, with children eating free all day. It caught my interest as it looked like a real money saver, so I wanted to investigate the deal properly.
Premier Inn Kids Eat Free Half Term: The Offer
The deal runs from 9 October to 1 November 2026. First up is breakfast, which is a standing deal I have covered in Premier Inn Breakfast Deal: Worth It for Families?. Effectively, up to two kids aged 15 and under eat breakfast free when a full paying adult buys a Premier Inn Breakfast or a Meal Deal, subject to availability. You can see the full terms on Premier Inn’s own page.
The extra bonus for half term is lunch and dinner. Up to two children aged 15 and under can also have one free main meal from the kids’ menu, small or large where available, for each adult who buys a main course from the daytime or core evening menu plus a drink priced at £1.99 or more.
Premier Inn Kids Eat Free Half Term: What’s the Catch?
My initial thought was what happens if you are using the Meal Deal. The good news is that the Meal Deal counts as the adult main, so the two work together.
You should note that kids’ drinks are charged at full price, but if you are watching your budget then water is always an option.
The offer is only available at selected Premier Inn Thyme restaurants, so double check your location is included before you plan around it. It is also a limited time promotion. I looked at the summer version earlier this year, and it came and went in the same way.
Is It Actually a Good Deal?
Personally I would say the only real challenge with the deal is whether you want to be at the hotel morning, noon and night to fully maximise it. The fact you can pick and choose is great though. Breakfast and dinner, or for a lazy day maybe getting all three is just what is needed!
Sensible Spender Verdict
Worth it. It’s a useful deal and offers a way to save some money and eat at the hotel when staying away.
Important Dates
The offer runs from 9 October to 1 November 2026. School half terms differ across the UK, so check your own dates, and check your chosen restaurant is on the participating list before you travel.
Whatever you pick, enjoy.
If you are planning a stay, I also looked at Premier Inn’s free breakfast for adults offer and how Travelodge’s breakfast deal compares. If you book a room, it is worth checking Quidco first.
